Welcome to Let’s Talk About Truth, a newsletter about being a Berean and testing all things.
We’re living in an age in which deception is rampant, and every day it becomes more difficult for even the most discerning Christian to know what to believe. This newsletter was inspired by a desire to hold everything up to the light of Biblical truth and understand what on earth is going on with the world, and to understand the forces behind all the deception — and ranting in my Instagram stories just wasn’t cutting it (although I still do that, too).
I’m diving deep into Church history and exploring the history and origins of various theological views and examining how false religions and false teaching infiltrated the early Church and took off like wild fire. I’m also exploring various conspiracy theories about what’s happening with the world in light of scripture, and what it means to expose darkness. And I’m providing an apologetic for the dispensational pre-trib rapture view. I’m not here to debate that, only to separate fact from fiction, and I charge you to be your own Berean and search the scriptures for yourself, test everything I say against God’s word, pray for the Holy Spirit’s leading, and make up your own mind. It’s NOT a salvific issue and we don’t need to fight about it. I believe we’ll see who’s right soon enough. ;)
Who am I?
I’m Jean Marie Bauhaus, an author, blogger and freelance writer. I’m not a professional Bible scholar and I don’t have any formal training. I’ve just got decades of diligently and prayerfully studying my Bible and being discipled by some very insightful and intelligent Bible teachers and scholars. I don’t hold 100% to any theological framework or tradition, but I strive to set aside my biases as I continually seek to learn and grow in my understanding of God’s word.

I plan to keep this newsletter totally free and never put any part of it behind a paywall, but researching these topics takes a lot of time and work.
