This must-watch conversation hit me where I live. 🔥
Unexpected conviction and edification from the Confessionals podcast.
Hi folks!
I just watched a 🔥🔥🔥 conversation on the Confessionals podcast with Tony Merkel, between him and his guests Vicki Joy Anderson (who has recently joined Substack!) and Dr. Laura Sanger, and I just had to share it with you.
This conversation really hit home for me. While the main topic is spiritual warfare, this video hit on three issues that the Lord has been dealing with in my life: my anxiety around time, my to do list, and money. Funnily enough, each person hit on a different aspect of things I’ve been convicted about, and this discussion provided so much confirmation.
The main discussion is also insightful. Vicki Joy is always so insightful and so much aligned with my own theological understandings. Dr. Laura, less so, although she’s a fantastic researcher and nevertheless has a lot of insightful things to say.
And here is my disclaimer that my recommending something does not mean I co-sign on every single thing they say, align perfectly with their theology, or endorse all their views and teachings. Use discernment, be a Berean and test all things.

And for the sake of bringing balance to the spiritual warfare discussion, I also recommend this video, along with the rest of the series that Alisa Childers did on deliverance ministries:
I land somewhere in the middle of these views, and one of these days I plan to either write an article or do a podcast episode on this topic. But today is not that day, and so for now I leave it to you to do your own due diligence and study what scripture has to say on these topics for yourself. Don’t just take anyone’s word for it — including mine.
At any rate, I hope you enjoy the Confessionals conversation and find it as edifying as I did!
Until next time!
